Bogle Petite Sirah - Item Code: 05666
Discover Bogle Petite Sirah:
This wine, like other Bogle Petite Sirahs, is renowned for its concentration and intensity. Petite Sirah is our family’s “legacy” variety, having been the first red grape planted by founder Warren Bogle in 1968.
Purple, inky, rich, and jammy are all words that come to me when I think about purple. All of these qualities are present in the Bogle Petite Sirah. This wine delivers on every level, from the chocolate and cocoa notes on the scent to the luscious boysenberry and blueberry fruit on the tongue. The smooth mouthfeel is followed by even softer tannins, which wrap themselves around the wine like a beloved blanket on a wet day. After a year in American oak, this wine is luscious and indulgent, with vanilla and fragrant clove lingering on the finish.

Syrah, also known as Shiraz in some regions, is a full-bodied red wine grape variety renowned for its rich and complex flavor profile. Characterized by notes of blackberry, plum, and black cherry, it often features hints of pepper, olive, and smoke that contribute to its distinctive character. This wine typically exhibits aromas of black fruit, violet, leather, and spice with an earthy undertone that enhances its appeal.
Originating from notable regions such as the RhĂ´ne Valley in France and the Barossa Valley in Australia, Syrah is crafted using various winemaking techniques including fermentation in stainless steel or oak barrels. The resulting texture is smooth and velvety with moderate to high tannins. Syrah pairs beautifully with grilled meats, lamb dishes, barbecue ribs, rich stews, and aged cheeses making it a versatile choice for both casual gatherings and formal dinners.
