Discover Wolffer Estate Summer in a Bottle Sauvignon Blanc:
Wölffer Estate’s Summer in a Bottle Long Island Sauvignon Blanc is a vibrant and elegant wine that captures the essence of the season. Crafted predominantly from Sauvignon Blanc grapes (97%) with a touch of Pinot Blanc (3%), this wine showcases a pale, shiny yellow hue.
On the nose, it offers delicate aromas of gooseberries, fresh dandelions, and lime. The palate is both elegant and vibrant, featuring fine green apple notes balanced with ripe kiwi and honeydew melon flavors, complemented by playful acidity. Subtle layers of skin contact and lees aging contribute to its structure, leading to a long, lip-smacking finish. This wine pairs exceptionally well with oysters, clams, ceviche, soft cheeses, seafood pasta, flavorful salads, and various fish and white meat dishes.
This wine’s crisp flavors make it delightful on its own. Winemaker Roman Roth describes it as “the ideal lunch wine in the summer—vibrant, refreshing, and mouthwatering.”

Sauvignon Blanc is a vibrant white wine grape variety known for its crisp and refreshing character, often exhibiting high acidity. This aromatic varietal can range from dry to off-dry, making it a versatile choice for various palates. The flavor profile typically includes bright citrus notes like grapefruit and lemon, complemented by green apple, pear, and tropical fruits such as passion fruit. Additionally, herbal undertones of grass and bell pepper may emerge, along with occasional mineral or flinty characteristics that enhance its complexity.
Originating from renowned wine regions such as the Loire Valley in France and Marlborough in New Zealand, Sauvignon Blanc thrives in diverse climates including California, South Africa, and Australia. Vinification techniques often involve fermentation in stainless steel to preserve freshness; some wines may undergo malolactic fermentation for added creaminess or aging on lees for depth. This light to medium-bodied wine pairs beautifully with seafood dishes like oysters or grilled fish, salads dressed with vinaigrette, goat cheese, light poultry meals, and even Asian cuisine like Thai food. For optimal enjoyment, serve chilled at temperatures between 45–50°F (7–10°C).
