Producer Notes: St Germain
St Germain is a drinks producer that is known for its high-quality, artisanal liqueurs. The company was founded in 2007 by Robert Cooper, who was inspired by the elderflower liqueurs he had tasted while traveling in Europe. St Germain is based in France, and its flagship product is its elderflower liqueur, which is made from fresh elderflowers that are hand-picked in the French Alps.
St Germain’s elderflower liqueur is made using a traditional French recipe that dates back to the 19th century. The flowers are macerated in a neutral spirit for several days, which extracts their delicate flavor and aroma. The resulting liquid is then blended with a small amount of sugar and water to create a smooth, sweet liqueur that is perfect for mixing into cocktails or sipping on its own.
In addition to its elderflower liqueur, St Germain also produces a range of other liqueurs and spirits. These include a pear liqueur, a grapefruit liqueur, and a gin that is infused with elderflower and other botanicals. All of St Germain’s products are made using only the finest ingredients, and they are crafted with the same attention to detail and care that goes into the elderflower liqueur.
St Germain’s elderflower liqueur has become a staple in many bars and restaurants around the world, and it is a favorite among mixologists and cocktail enthusiasts. It is often used in classic cocktails like the French 75 and the Elderflower Collins, as well as in more modern creations like the St Germain Spritz and the White Lady.
Overall, St Germain is a drinks producer that is known for its commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Its elderflower liqueur is a true standout in the world of spirits, and its other products are equally impressive. Whether you’re a fan of classic cocktails or modern mixology, St Germain is a brand that is definitely worth exploring.

Discover Assorted Liqueurs
Liqueurs are an alcoholic beverage made from distilled spirits and other ingredients including sugar, fruits, herbs, and spices. They are usually highly sweetened and un-aged beyond a resting time during manufacturing, if required, allowing their tastes to mix, and are often served with or after dessert.
Liquor, on the other hand, is sweet by nature, while liquor has a powerful taste that is everything from sweet. This word is really used to describe these sweetened spirits prepared with various tastes and extracts. One of the many reasons the two words are confused is because rum, brandy, and whiskey may all be used as a base spirit for liqueur. Liqueurs are liquors that have been sweetened and diluted. Liqueurs typically have an alcohol level of about 15% (compared to 40% in liqueurs), although they may reach up to 55%.
Liquors come in a variety of tastes, ranging from sweet and creamy to citrus-flavored and everything in between. Because many liqueurs are sweet and smooth, they may frequently be drunk without mixers or complex cocktail recipes.
About the Producer: St Germain
Saint Germain is a handmade French liqueur with elderflower flowers. The appetizer was created by Robert Cooper and launched in 2007 by Cooper Spirits Company with immediate success. Each bottle of St Germain is individually numbered to reflect the year the elderberry was harvested. The company was sold to Bacardi in 2013. St Germain's breeding process revolves mainly around keeping the elderberry flowers fresh. For just a few weeks in late spring, wild elderflowers are collected by local collectors in the French Alps and transported by bicycle to selected villages, then immediately transported to the Saint-Germain distillery. Elderberry flowers quickly lose their delicate flavor and aroma if left too long, become bitter when pressed, lose their complexity when frozen, and lose their flavor with traditional maceration, so Saint-Germain uses ancient French methods, kept secret , to extract the fresh elderflower flower essence for distillation. The Saint-Germain cocktail is made with champagne, soda and lemon, but the bright, aromatic liqueur is used as a substitute or complement to many traditional appetizers and cocktails, including gimlet, martini, daiquiri and sangria.
