Color Wine of a beautiful golden color. Taste On the palate the wine shows good balance of fresh fruit shades (green apples, ripe pears) with a soft cream colors. The name of the line is associated with love Sebastiani family patriarchs to cigars and waterfowl. Full-bodied wines “Smooking Loon” embody the independent bohemian spirit of California and are distinguished by excellent quality. To create them, wine master explore yields from different regions, selecting the best examples of which produce wine with a smooth taste with a distinctive fruity and rich oak notes. And although the company “Don Sebastiani & Sons” urges not to take seriously the blame, reward this line from “Wine Spectator” and “Wine Enthusiast” evidence of a thorough approach to its creation.

2011 season was not very successful for the winemakers. Reduced temperature, high rainfall and strong cold winds did not allow the grapes to ripen properly. Chardonnay, however, resistant to low temperatures, and the weather is not so much influenced his yield and properties, as for other varieties. Wine “Smokin Moon” Chardonnay 2011, aged 3 months in oak barrels, it came perfectly balanced, fruity, with subtle notes of creme brulee, worthy to try it.

Chardonnay is a white wine grape variety with green skin that is utilized in the manufacture of white wine. The grape variety was developed in the Burgundy wine area of eastern France, but it is now planted all over the world, from England to New Zealand, where wine is made. Growing Chardonnay is seen as a "rite of passage" and an easy way to get into the worldwide wine market for new and expanding wine areas.

The wines that do not go through MLF will have more green (unripe) apple tastes than those that do go through MLF. Oak can be incorporated during the fermentation process or after the fermentation process in the form of barrel aging.
