Critical Acclaim

James Suckling
This has a very attractive, dark-stone and black-fruit nose with rich and intense blackberries and licorice and some savory, rust-like, sanguine elements. There鈥檚 clay soil and iron to dry this. The richness and depth are impressive and there鈥檚 a wealth of intense, rich and very concentrated fruit on offer. Dark plums, blue fruit and long, succulent tannins. Spicy finish. An estate-grown blend of syrah, grenache, mourvedre, carignan and clairette
Wine Enthusiast
An elevated C么tes du Rh么ne, this blend of five grape varieties is sourced from the communes of Plan de Dieu, Saint Maurice and Cairanne. Packed with ripe blackberry and plum flavors it also offers elegant notes of bramble, sage and violet. Lively and perfumed, the wine is balanced by crisp acidity and very fine, smooth tannins. Lovely now it should improve through 2027.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Compact and a bit tannic this vintage, the 2017 Cotes du Rhone les Deux Albions is a Grenache-Syrah blend. Blueberries, cherries and dried spices provide plenty of flavor in this full-bodied offering that should be at its best over the next 5-6 years.
Wine Spectator
Lively mesquite and black tea notes give this aromatic complexity, with the core of black cherry and plum fruit taking on a nice mulled hint. Offers good juicy energy. Drink now through 2021.

About the Producer: Delas Freres Vins

Delas Fr猫res is a property located in the north of the Rh么ne Valley, especially famous for its Syrah-based wines from the Hermitage, C么te-R么tie and Crozes-Hermitages appellations. The Delas family has been involved in wine production in the Rh么ne Valley since 1835. , having received its current name in 1924. The wines were well received throughout the 20th century and, in 1977, they merged with Champagne Deutz. In 1993, both were acquired by the Roseau family, which owns Louis Roederer. Today the company owns vineyards in the northern part of the Rh么ne, the most famous of which is the Domaine des Tourettes in Hermitage. This property is located on a steep granite portion of Hermitage Hill, including the famous Le Bressade vineyard. This place is used for the preparation of Les Bressades cuv茅e: before fermentation, the grapes are peeled from the feet and cold macerated and aged on fine lees in French barrels for about 18 months. Delas Fr猫res also produces Hermitage red and white wines, labeled as Domaine des Tourettes. Delas Fr猫res also owns an 18-hectare (45-acre) vineyard in Crozes-Hermitage called Les Grand Chemins and a small plot of land in Saint-Joseph that produces grapes for Saint-Epins red and white wines, which are only produced in the best years. . In addition, it produces wines from selected vineyards from contract growers around the Rh么ne, from La Landonne C么te-R么tie and Clos Boucher Condrieu to Haute Pierre Ch芒teauneuf-du-Pape.
