About the Producer: Ferrari
Ferrari is an award-winning sparkling wine house in the Trentino region of northern Italy. It produces Metodo Classico Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines under the name Trento DOC. The company was founded in 1902 by Giulio Ferrari with the intention of bringing the best Champagne wines. Thus, Ferrari became one of the first Italian properties to produce significant plantations of Chardonnay. As Giulio Ferrari had no children, in the 1950s the company was acquired by Bruno Lunelli, owner of a liquor store in Trento. In the following decades, Lunelli increased production from 9,000 bottles a year to 100,000. Today, the business is managed by the third generation of the Lunelli family.
