Producer Notes: Magdala Spirits
Magdala Spirits is a premium drinks producer based in the United Kingdom. The company was founded in 2018 by two friends, Tom Hills and Ben Cook, who shared a passion for creating high-quality spirits. The name Magdala is inspired by the biblical town of Magdala, which was known for its production of wine and olive oil.
Magdala Spirits is known for its unique and innovative approach to distilling. The company uses a combination of traditional and modern techniques to create spirits that are both complex and smooth. They source the finest ingredients from around the world, including juniper berries from Macedonia, coriander seeds from Morocco, and citrus fruits from Spain.
One of Magdala Spirits’ most famous drinks is their flagship gin, Magdala Gin. This gin is made using a blend of 11 botanicals, including juniper, coriander, angelica root, and orange peel. The result is a gin that is both classic and contemporary, with a smooth and complex flavor profile.
In addition to their gin, Magdala Spirits also produces a range of other spirits, including vodka, rum, and whiskey. Their vodka is made using a unique distillation process that involves filtering the spirit through charcoal and lava rock. This results in a vodka that is incredibly smooth and pure.
Magdala Spirits’ rum is made using a blend of Caribbean rums that are aged in oak barrels. The result is a rum that is rich and complex, with notes of vanilla, caramel, and spice. Their whiskey is made using a combination of malted barley and rye, and is aged in oak barrels for a minimum of three years. The result is a whiskey that is smooth and full-bodied, with notes of caramel, vanilla, and oak.
Overall, Magdala Spirits is a premium drinks producer that is known for its innovative approach to distilling. Their range of spirits is both classic and contemporary, and is sure to please even the most discerning of drinkers.

Discover Assorted Liqueurs
Liqueurs are an alcoholic beverage made from distilled spirits and other ingredients including sugar, fruits, herbs, and spices. They are usually highly sweetened and un-aged beyond a resting time during manufacturing, if required, allowing their tastes to mix, and are often served with or after dessert.
Liquor, on the other hand, is sweet by nature, while liquor has a powerful taste that is everything from sweet. This word is really used to describe these sweetened spirits prepared with various tastes and extracts. One of the many reasons the two words are confused is because rum, brandy, and whiskey may all be used as a base spirit for liqueur. Liqueurs are liquors that have been sweetened and diluted. Liqueurs typically have an alcohol level of about 15% (compared to 40% in liqueurs), although they may reach up to 55%.
Liquors come in a variety of tastes, ranging from sweet and creamy to citrus-flavored and everything in between. Because many liqueurs are sweet and smooth, they may frequently be drunk without mixers or complex cocktail recipes.
About the Producer: Torres
Bodegas Torres is one of Spain's largest wine producers, arguably the most recognized Spanish wine brand and one of the most prominent wine producers in the world. The house was founded in 1870 by Jaime Torres Vendrell. Torres gained much popularity abroad in the 1940s, when the French wine industry was unable to export wine due to German occupation during World War II. The United States has become the main destination for Spanish wine. The brand developed even further when the 1970 Torres Gran Coronas, made from young vines native to Penedès, won the World Wine Olympiad, a blind tasting organized by Gault & Millau in 1979. Torres is so successful that its vineyards have been visited by two generations of Spanish kings and, after several years in the top five, it was elected the most respected wine brand in the world by surveys of hundreds of industry professionals. Bodegas Torres now produces and sells millions of cases of wine each year. ... compared to hundreds of thousands in the mid-1990s and exports to over 140 countries. The company produces wines from the DOCa, Rioja and Priorat regions, as well as from several DO regions, including Penedes, Ribera del Duero and Rueda. Torres achieved special success with three wines: Viña del Sol, white wine from Parellada and Garnacha Blanco, Coronas, a blend of Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon from Penedes and Sangre de Toro (Spanish bull blood), a blend of Carignan and Garnacha. Torres also now includes rosés from Tempranillo, Grenache, Syrah and Carignan and whites from Parellada and Grenache Blanc under the Sangre de Toro label. The company expanded outside Spain in search of new markets and opportunities. The fourth generation, Miguel Torres Carbo, founded Bodegas Miguel Torres Winery in Chile in 1979. In 1982, Carbo's daughter, Marimar Torres, founded the Marimar Estate winery in California. More recently, Torres made an attempt in 1997 in China, where he established his own bottling and distribution unit in order to gain more control over the sale of his wines in this expanding market. Torres continues to experiment with the planting of vineyards in China, but does not produce wine yet.
