Discover Red Wine Wines

Red wine is a popular alcoholic beverage that is enjoyed by many people around the world. It is made from red grapes and is known for its rich, complex flavors and aromas. There are many different varieties of red wine, each with its own unique characteristics and taste. Some of the most popular varieties of red wine include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, and Zinfandel.

Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most popular varieties of red wine. It is known for its full-bodied flavor and high tannin content. This wine is often aged in oak barrels, which gives it a rich, smoky flavor. Some of the most famous brands of Cabernet Sauvignon include Chateau Montelena, Silver Oak, and Caymus Vineyards.

Merlot is another popular variety of red wine. It is known for its soft, fruity flavor and low tannin content. This wine is often blended with other varieties of red wine to create a more complex flavor. Some of the most famous brands of Merlot include Duckhorn Vineyards, Stags' Leap Winery, and Chateau Ste. Michelle.

Pinot Noir is a lighter-bodied red wine that is known for its delicate, fruity flavor. It is often aged in oak barrels, which gives it a subtle smoky flavor. Some of the most famous brands of Pinot Noir include Domaine de la Romanee-Conti, Kistler Vineyards, and Williams Selyem.

Shiraz, also known as Syrah, is a full-bodied red wine that is known for its spicy, peppery flavor. It is often aged in oak barrels, which gives it a rich, smoky flavor. Some of the most famous brands of Shiraz include Penfolds, Henschke, and Torbreck.

Zinfandel is a bold, fruity red wine that is known for its high alcohol content. It is often aged in oak barrels, which gives it a rich, smoky flavor. Some of the most famous brands of Zinfandel include Ridge Vineyards, Turley Wine Cellars, and Seghesio Family Vineyards.

Red wine is a great drink for many reasons. For one, it is rich in antioxidants, which can help to reduce the risk of heart disease and other health problems. Additionally, red wine is a great way to unwind after a long day. It has a relaxing effect on the body and can help to reduce stress and anxiety. Finally, red wine is a great way to socialize with friends and family. It is often enjoyed with food and can be a great way to bring people together.

Discover Tempranillo Wines

Tempranillo is a Spanish grape type that produces rich, full-bodied red wines with spicy and fruit driven flavors. Tempranillo is the most well-known grape variety in Spain, although it is most closely linked with the Rioja and Ribera del Duero wine regions.

With a low viscosity (in other words, the liquid isn't thick), Tempranillo has a strong and structured taste. When compared to other black wine types like Cabernet Sauvignon or Teinturier, Tempranillo grapes have somewhat thinner skins. The viscosity of the wine is mostly determined by the density of the skins during fermentation. So, if you prefer rich flavors without becoming syrupy, Tempranillo might be the wine for you!

Tempranillo thrives in areas that alternate between cold and hot throughout the growing season. It's a robust grape that can withstand high elevations and extended cold thanks to its fairly thick skin. This kind of climate may be found in Spain's Rioja and Ribera del Duero regions. Temperatures in these areas may range from 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit during the day, and 30 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit at night. This vine has evolved over ages to cope with the changes and produce a wine with a strong taste. The rocky topography in these areas also gives Tempranillo wines a mineral flavor.

About the Producer: Bodegas Lan

Bodegas LAN is a Spanish wine producer located in Rioja, the country's most famous wine region. Its name is an abbreviation of each of the provinces it covers: Logroño (the capital of Rioja and the region's name until 1980), Alava and Navarra. The Bodegas LAN wine portfolio is dominated by Tempranillo with the varieties produced, as well as blends with Graziano, Garnarcia and Mazuelo. Culmen Reserva and Viña Lanciano Reserva are the winery's premium offerings, produced only in exceptional vintages. The rest of this line is produced in both modern and traditional styles. The estate's vineyards are planted with Tempranillo, Mazuelo, Graziano and Garnacha vines aged between 40 and 60 years. These old vines are protected by the Cantabrian mountain range and are planted in heavy rocky soils which are the ideal terroir for growing concentrated grapes. The grapes also come from long-time producers in the Rioja region. The company is relatively new in the Rioja region, especially compared to other historic manufacturers that are found here. The company was founded in 1972 and today belongs to the Sogrape Legacy Wines conglomerate.
