Discover La Marca Luminore:

La Marca Luminore is an exquisite sparkling wine that offers a luxurious and refined drinking experience. Crafted in the Prosecco region of Italy, this exceptional drink is made from the finest Glera grapes, which are carefully selected and hand-harvested to ensure the highest quality.

One of the standout features of La Marca Luminore is its extended aging process. Unlike traditional Prosecco, Luminore undergoes a longer secondary fermentation, resulting in a more complex and sophisticated flavor profile. This extended aging period allows the wine to develop a rich and creamy texture, with delicate bubbles that dance on the palate.

The appearance of La Marca Luminore is captivating, with a brilliant straw-yellow color and a persistent perlage. The effervescence is elegant and refined, creating a visually stunning experience in the glass.

On the nose, Luminore offers a bouquet of enticing aromas. The fragrance is characterized by notes of ripe citrus fruits, such as Meyer lemon and grapefruit, along with hints of white flowers and a subtle minerality. These aromas create a fresh and invigorating sensation, inviting you to take your first sip.

When it comes to taste, La Marca Luminore truly shines. The wine is dry and crisp, with a balanced acidity that enhances its overall structure. The flavors are vibrant and well-defined, featuring a harmonious blend of citrus, green apple, and pear. There is also a touch of honeyed sweetness that adds depth and complexity to the wine, without overpowering its refreshing nature.

La Marca Luminore is incredibly versatile and can be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif or paired with a variety of dishes. Its bright acidity and effervescence make it an excellent companion for seafood, particularly oysters, shrimp, and grilled fish. It also pairs beautifully with light appetizers, salads, and creamy cheeses.

The bottle design of La Marca Luminore is as elegant as the wine itself. The sleek and slender bottle is adorned with a gold label, reflecting the wine’s premium quality and luxurious character. It is a true embodiment of Italian craftsmanship and sophistication.

Producer Notes: La Marca

La Marca is a renowned drinks producer known for its exceptional sparkling wines, particularly Prosecco. La Marca is based in the Veneto region of northeastern Italy, which is widely recognized as the birthplace of Prosecco. The company has a rich history that dates back to 1968 when a group of winegrowers came together to form a cooperative, with the aim of producing high-quality Prosecco.

La Marca’s dedication to crafting outstanding sparkling wines has made it one of the most respected and sought-after Prosecco brands in the world. The winery’s location in the heart of the Prosecco region ensures access to the finest Glera grapes, the primary variety used in Prosecco production. La Marca’s winemakers carefully select the best grapes, ensuring that only the highest quality fruit is used in their wines.

La Marca’s flagship product is its Prosecco, which is renowned for its crispness, delicate bubbles, and vibrant flavors. The winery offers different expressions of Prosecco, including the classic La Marca Prosecco, La Marca Prosecco Rosé, and La Marca Prosecco DOCG. Each of these wines showcases the distinct characteristics of the region, with a perfect balance of fruitiness, acidity, and effervescence.

Apart from Prosecco, La Marca also produces other sparkling wines that have gained recognition for their exceptional quality. One such wine is La Marca Luminore, an elevated expression of Prosecco that undergoes a longer aging process, resulting in a more complex and refined flavor profile. Luminore is often described as having notes of green apple, honeysuckle, and citrus, with a creamy texture and a persistent finish.

La Marca’s commitment to excellence extends beyond its winemaking practices. The brand is known for its elegant and distinctive packaging, with its iconic blue label and sleek bottle design. This attention to detail reflects the winery’s dedication to creating a premium experience for its consumers.

What is Champagne?

All sparkling wine is Champagne, but not all sparkling wine is Champagne. Sparkling wine comes in a variety of flavors. Champagne, prosecco, cava, and sparkling wine made in the United States are the most popular.

Champagne is only allowed to be named Champagne if it is produced in the Champagne area in northern France. Chardonnay, pinot noir, and pinot meunier are used to make a classic Champagne or sparkling wine from the United States. The term "blanc de blancs" refers to a Champagne or sparkling wine composed entirely of chardonnay. If you see "blanc de noirs" on a bottle of Champagne or sparkling wine from the United States, that means it's made entirely of pinot noir.

The sparkling wine of Italy is Prosecco. Prosecco or glera grapes are used to make it. Spain's effervescent wine is known as Cava. Macabeu, parellada, and xarello grapes are commonly used to make it.

Champagne is prepared from a blend of grapes, most commonly chardonnay, pinot noir, and pinot meunier, though additional grapes are permitted. The grapes may be cultivated in a few different places throughout France, and they flourish in a variety of soil and weather conditions. While many wines stress "terroir," or the traits imparted by the vineyard, champagne is unique. The champagne house is the focus, since it masterfully combines several varietals to produce a consistent, balanced beverage.

The wine undergoes a further fermentation process within the bottle to produce champagne's distinctive bubbles. Many champagnes are still aged in caves, and they are rotated on a regular basis. The sparkling wine must be aged for at least 15 months, while many are aged for three or more years.

Champagne is frequently served as a toasting wine or in cocktails, but it also goes well with a variety of dishes. With sophisticated appetizers like oysters and blinis, or simpler snacks like deviled eggs and shrimp cocktail, serve a dry bottle. White pizza and fried chicken go well together, as do light fish and chicken dishes. Sweet champagnes pair well with fresh berries and soft cheeses towards the end of a meal.

Although the champagne flute is a beautiful vessel, many experts believe it is an ineffective manner of serving the bubbly. If you're pouring and drinking right away, a white wine glass is excellent for letting the scents to fully open. A sophisticated coup glass is also a fantastic choice.
