Discover Cabernet Sauvignon Wines
Cabernet Sauvignon is a red wine grape variety from the vitis vinifera grape plant species. It is the world's most commonly planted red wine grape variety, and its wines have lately been rated as the most sought-after in the world. When vinified properly, it may produce a full-bodied, complex, fruit-forward, and dry wine. The Cabernet Sauvignon grape owes most of its fame to its origins in the Bordeaux area of France. Traditionally, these wines have a strong crimson and black fruit flavor with a pronounced tannic component.
Because of its flavor profile and simplicity of production, Cabernet Sauvignon is a popular grape type among wine consumers and vintners both. The vines are very resilient, adapting to a wide range of temperatures and terroirs. They grow grapes with thick skins that are resistant to harsh conditions such as frost and hail.
Cabernet Sauvignon has large yields, which is a major plus for winemakers since it is one of the most popular red wines in the world.

California's Hess Collection Winery, known for its Napa Valley Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon and its sub-AVA. The winery is located in Mount Wieder and was first leased by Donald Hess in 1986, but the history of wine production in this region dates back to the late 19th century and the first wave of wine production in California. Before renting the winery, Hess planted vineyards in Mount Wieder in 1978, the 1982 vintage being the first to be released under the Hess label. Winery Hess Collection was the first of the wineries in the Hess family, which includes wineries in Argentina, South Africa and other regions of California. Hess has three different wines; Mount Veeder, Napa Valley and Hess Select. Two other collections are marketed, Shirtail and Small Block, although they are small-scale wines sold exclusively in restaurants and wineries, respectively. While Napa's classic stand-alone varieties such as Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon are featured, other bottled wines include Albariño, Gewurzraminer, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Malbec and Bordeaux-style red blends. its philosophy since its inception. Donald Hess's initial purchase of 365 hectares (901 acres) of land on Mount Wieder set aside more than 240 hectares to avoid being built to support local wildlife. In 2008, it was one of the first 10 wineries to receive Napa Green certification, and in 2010 it became one of the first 17 wineries to be certified by the California Alliance for Sustainable Viticulture. The Hess Collection winery was severely damaged in 2014. An earthquake in Napa led to subsequent renovations and improvements, resulting in the reopening of a visitor center and art museum in 2015.
