About the Producer: Mionetto
Mionetto has been producing sparkling wines in northeastern Italy for over 125 years. The winery, located in the city of Valdobbiadene, was founded in 1887 by Francesco Mionetto, and in 1961 was transferred to Francesco's grandchildren, Giovanni and Sergio Mionetto. Mionetto is best known for producing Prosecco from the Glera grape variety and is exported all over the world. Mionetto produces Prosecco using the Charmat method, also known as the reservoir method. The process takes about 60 days and results in fresh sparkling wines. Mionetto has been working with growers for decades to produce a range of Prosecco wines and a range of other sparkling wines from the Veneto wine region appellations. Mionetto's portfolio includes Luxury Collection, Avantgarde, Prestige Collection and Il Range. While the producer is best known for its variety of Prosecco styles from the DOC and DOCG appellations, including Conegliano Valdobbiadene and Cartizza, Mionetto also produces sparkling wines from the Moscato and Lambrusco varieties.
