About the Producer: Domaine de Canton
Domaine de Canton is a ginger liqueur produced in Jarnac, France. It is inspired by the spicy and aromatic fortified elixirs that became popular during the period of French colonialism in Vietnam. The product called Canton was produced in China from 1992 to 1997, but in 2007 the name and recipe were revived and changed, first it became Canton Ginger & Cognac Liqueur, then Domaine de Canton Ginger Liqueur. The main flavor profile comes from Vietnamese ginger. which is macerated with a mixture of herbs and spices. The product of this maceration is combined with VSOP and XO Grande Champagne brandy and excellent Eau-de-Vie, as well as Tahitian vanilla bean, Provencal orange blossom honey and Tunisian ginseng. Domaine de Canton contains 28% alcohol by volume and is packaged in bamboo. in bottle form without preservatives and colorings. The liqueur is produced in small batches by hand and is often used as an ingredient in cocktails to add spices and herbs.
