The finest red mix was created by Michel Rolland, a renowned master blender, and is known as Clos de los Siete or C7. At the base of the Andes Mountains in the Uco Valley, Michel and six of his Bordelais companions established Clos de los Siete, vineyard of the seven. Michel was convinced that this site would be perfect for producing a variety of Bordeaux grapes, notably Malbec, because of its unusual mix of high altitude, well-drained soils, good aspect, and dry climate. Today we commemorate 15 years of 90+ scores and 20 years since Michel planted his first vines in the Uco Valley. Our 2018 vintage has a deep crimson hue and lovely spice undertones in the smells. With well-balanced tannins and powerful fruit flavors, the palate is smooth and full-bodied. This wine has lovely length, concentration, and freshness.
