Discover Bogle Zinfandel 750ml:

Bogle Zinfandel winemakers have spent years searching for vines that are 60 to 80 years old for our Old Vine Zinfandel. Low yields of tiny, concentrated clusters of fruit are produced by these gnarly head-trained and dry grown pioneers, resulting in extremely powerful and delicious wines.

Juniper and black pepper on the nose arouse the senses. Garnets gleam in the glass, while cranberry and raspberry notes sparkle on the tongue. After 14 months of age in 2-year-old American oak, notes of marionberry pie round out a lengthy and lingering finish.

Producer Notes: Bogle Vineyards

Bogle Vineyards is a family-owned and operated winery located in Clarksburg, California. The winery was founded in 1968 by Warren Bogle and his wife, and it has been producing high-quality wines ever since. The winery is known for its commitment to sustainable farming practices and its dedication to producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Sacramento Delta region.

Bogle Vineyards produces a wide range of wines, including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, and Zinfandel. The winery is particularly well-known for its Old Vine Zinfandel, which is made from grapes grown on vines that are over 60 years old. This wine is rich and full-bodied, with flavors of blackberry, raspberry, and spice.

In addition to its wines, Bogle Vineyards also produces a range of other drinks, including a popular line of hard seltzers. These seltzers are made with natural flavors and are low in calories and sugar, making them a great option for those who want a refreshing drink without the guilt.

Discover Zinfandel Wines

Red Zinfandel is a grape varietal with black and blue skins that is mostly produced and consumed in the United States.

This grape tends to have lighter-bodied qualities in the glass while yet retaining strong notes. Zin has a strong acidic content and a traditionally high alcohol level, which contributes to this (up to 17 percent in some cases).

Because of these two characteristics, Zinfandel may have a medium body on the palate.

Raspberry, raisin, cherry, cassis, and plum are just a few of the rich red fruit tastes found in this grape type. Black pepper spice, tobacco, dry barnyard door, and coffee are often used to complement these jammy fruit tastes.

While these are the broad strokes, Zinfandel tastes may vary widely, and alcohol level is a significant factor.

Cooler temperature Zins are said to have more red fruit tastes, whereas warmer climate varietal wines have more black fruit and pepper subtleties, depending on maturity at harvest.

Over 70% of Zinfandel acreage is owned by the United States, with the rest held by Italy (approximately 27%) and different places across Australia, South Africa, and Mexico.
