Banfi Rosa Regale 750ml
About the Producer: Castello Banfi
Castello Banfi was founded in Tuscany in 1978 by Italian-American brothers John and Harry Mariani. It comes from the business of his father, Banfi Vintners, who was founded in 1919 and was at the time the largest importer of Italian wines in America. Today, Castello Banfi has vineyards on Italy's northwest coast, from Piedmont to Chianti Classico, Bolgheri and Montalcino. The property covers 2,870 hectares (7,100 acres) of land, about a third of which is cultivated with vines. Banfi produces wines from imported grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc, as well as local Italian grapes such as Sangiovese, Vermentino and Dolcetto. Most of these wines age in oak for some time - from a few months to 30 months for Brunello de Montalcino's estate. _x007f_ Castello Banfi's portfolio is vast, from the light and effervescent Cortese de Gavi do Piemonte to the muscular and bold Super Tuscan wines made from blends dominated by the Cabernet Sauvignon from Montalcino.
