Astral Tequila is made from 100% organic Weber blue agave grown on a mountain property outside of Jalisco, Mexico, and handcrafted using methods reminiscent of how tequila was made 150 years ago. This process takes 8 to 10 times longer than industrial brands and the result is a rich white 92 ABV tequila that tastes great whether consumed straight or as part of a cocktail.
Tequila Varieties
First produced in the 16th century, when Spanish conquerors ran out of cognac during their expedition to the New World, tequila is made by distilling the juice from the heart of a blue agave native to Jalisco, Mexico.Β Tequila comes in a variety of colors, from the transparent and unrestrained, known as Blanco, to the darkest aged in Reposado, Anejo and Extra Anejo vats.Β Popular as a main ingredient in refreshing margaritas, it is also commonly consumed pure or with the addition of lemon and salt.
