Champagne Cattier, rooted in the village of Chigny-les-Roses in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, traces its origins to 1763 when the Cattier family began cultivating vines on this prized terroir. Officially established as a Champagne house in 1918, Cattier has remained family-owned for over a dozen generations, with each era refining their approach to sustainable viticulture and meticulous cellar aging beneath ancient chalk cellars unique to this region. Decanter
The second cuvée, launched approximately three years after the Gold bottle. Fifteen percent of red wine from Cattier’s own vineyard in Montagne de Reims is added to the final blend, which is made from the 2009, 2010 and 2012 vintages. It's made from 50% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier and 10% Chardonnay. There's an abundance of dark fruit with notes of black cherry and blackcurrant. While full bodied, it's fresh, pure and vibrant, with delicate red fruits. The tangy acidity keeps the wine energised and fresh. Like the Gold Brut, it feels much drier than its 8.5g/l dosage.

Wine & Spirits
Wood tones dominate this wine when it's first opened, bringing ginger beer and a masculine, cologne-like scent to the savory, Morello cherry flavors. It develops floral aromas with air, a powerful cherry weightlessness that opens up and races past the woody curves of the finish. A stylized rosé, this has an intriguing character to back it up. For seared duck breast or other gamey meats.
